Michael P. McAllister英文论文培训课程即将开班

各位老师、同学,

为提高我院教师以及博士、硕士同学的英文专业论文写作水平,提升学院教师、同学的学术成果在国际上的影响,学院特聘请了英语语言培训专家Michael P. McAllister来我院授课。Michael老师是国际注册ESOL(English for Speakers of Other Languages)教师,曾在国防科技大学任教10年,他培训的学生曾屡获国家、省级英文演讲比赛大奖。Michael曾先后于Thiokol化学公司担任化学家,美国国际开发总署任国际贸易专家(化学方向),Michael参与起草的多份标准文件如:IFB, RFQ, RFP等现被世界银行及亚洲发展银行应用。Michael的学术背景以及多年从事英语写作、演讲培训的经验令他总结了独特有效的教学风格和方法,并在长期的英文培训工作中得到了验证。

此次课程为期6周,共设12课时,课程将专注于英文科研论文的写作风格及结构,同时也将涉及论文演讲的方法与技巧等,同时Michael老师将为参加课程的师生提供一对一英文论文润色、修改辅导。相信此次培训将为教师和同学们提供一个有效的英文论文写作提高平台,帮助老师和同学们在英文论文写作方面实现实质性的突破和提高。欢迎大家踊跃报名!

WRITING  AND  PRESENTING  SCIENTIFIC  PAPERS  IN  ENGLISH

Do you want to achieve recognition in science on an international scale?

Do you feel worried about being not able to present your scientific articles effectively in English?

We are here to help!

This is an English speaking course with objectives to help you become an effective writer and presenter of scientific articles using the English language. The course will last for six weeks with 12 classes. Consideration will be given to the style and structure of a scientific paper, i.e. introduction, methods and materials, results, and discussion.  How to present a paper at meetings and conferences will also be covered. In this regard, the focus will be on speaking style, adapting your speech to a specific audience, creating effective visual aids, etc.
