第三期报告题目:生物医学超声成像、给药与神经调控技术研究

个人简历:郑海荣博士、中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院研究员。主要学术研究方向:多功能超声,分子影像与医学成像仪器、脑成像与功能调控技术。目前担任先进院医工所所长、生物医学成像研究中心主任、国家地方联合医学成像技术与装备工程实验室主任。2000年哈工大毕业,2006年获得美国科罗拉多大学博士学位,后在UC-Davis做博士后研究。 在重要学术期刊上发表文章70余篇,授权专利20余项,研发的多项专利技术实现产业化。先后获得了国家杰出青年科学基金、国家973计划项目(首席科学家)、中国科学院和广东省基金“多模态分子影像”创新团队(牵头人)等项目支持。主持完成了基金委科学仪器专项、国际合作重点等科研项目。曾获2014年度陈嘉庚青年科学奖、国家中青年科技创新领军人才、深圳市青年科技奖、美国心脏学会奖等。目前主要的学术与社会兼职包括:担任国家重大科学仪器专家委员会委员、国家自然基金委学科评议组成员、中国超声医学工程学会仪器开发专业委员会副主任委员、中国声学学会生物医学超声专委会副主任委员、中国生物物理学会分子影像专委会常委、中国生物医学工程学会青年工作委员会主任、中国声学学会理事等,以及国际期刊IEEE Transaction on UFFC副主编Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology编委,Physics in Medicine and Biology编委、IEEE高级会员,IEEE EMBS Shenzhen Chapter Chairman、2015 IEEE-IUS 组委会成员。 

摘要:医学超声目前主要是以成像为主要特点的重要疾病诊断工具,近年来在超声电子、材料、生物医学等学科的发展推动下,其功能不断丰富,集成像、操控与神经调控于一体,应用不断拓展。本报告介绍基于超声微泡的超声非线性成像、超声靶向分子影像以及超声载药技术;以及基于超声辐射力属性的超声生物力学测量与弹性成像技术、超声辐射力操控搬运技术与超声辐射力神经调控技术的最新研究成果。超声微泡在超声声场激烈下会激发成为非线性声学信号散射体和声源,当和靶向生物亲和素和蛋白结合后,能够有效与病变目标细胞结合,并被超声成像有效探测,形成基于声探针的超声分子影像技术。超声辐射力效应及其产生声场的设计可以实现生物组织的瞬态畸变和剪切波震动,可以成为生物力学参数测量的弹性成像技术。利用声辐射力可以实现对于细胞及微纳颗粒和载体的在体空间搬运和精准投放。超声辐射力可通过与神经元细胞表面机械门控离子通道作用从而实现神经调控,有望实现微观和宏观层面的超声无创神经调控及脑神经网络层面的调控,这对于脑科学研究和脑疾病治疗具有重大前景。

第四期报告题目:Computer-Assisted Endoscopic Navigation Systems and Beyond

Abstract

Endoscopy is a widely performed procedure that involves either diagnosis of suspicious lesions or guidance for minimally-invasive surgery in a variety of organs within the body. Conventional endoscopy is on the way to its next generation of computer-assisted endoscopic navigation. To realize the endoscopic navigation, a variety of pre- and intra-operative sensory information, e.g., CT, MRI, endoscopic video sequences, ultrasound images, and external trackers, must be processed to guide endoscopic procedures successfully. This talk will discuss developing different context-aware endoscopic navigation systems with various information processing. Beyond that, recent augmented visualization in robotic prostatectomy is also discussed.

Biography

Prof. Xiongbiao Luo received his PhD degree in Information Science from Nagoya University Japan in 2011. After a half-year postdoctoral fellowship at Nagoya University, he worked as a research assistant professor until March 2014. He has extensive experience in image-guidance methods and external tracking devices for surgical endoscope navigation, clinical ultrasound navigation, computer vision and artificial intelligence for clinical procedures, and information processing in computer assisted interventions with publications on these subjects in flagship journals and conferences including IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, Medical Image Analysis, Medical Physics, and IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, MICCAI and CVPR. Prof. Xiongbiao Luo is also actively involved in his research community. He has been reviewer for the top journals in his research field including IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, Medical Image Analysis, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, Medical Physics, and IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering.  More recently he has been member of the Local Organizing Committee for MICCAI, the premier conference in this field as well as Program Committee Member for several important conferences. Now he works on image-guided and robotically-assisted procedures for prostate cancer surgery.
