讲座摘要: The Ai field has made tremendous progress in the last few years, and an increasing number of researchers and observers now believe the ambitious goal of AGI with capability at the human level or beyond may be achievable within years rather than decades. However, while LLMs and related deep neural models have shown great practical capabilities, there are reasons to believe they are not architecturally or dynamically capable of getting us all the way to human level AGI. In this talk I will present three approaches that I do believe have this capability: Biologically realistic brain emulation, hybrid neural-symbolic-evolutionary cognitive architecture, and self-organization via algorithmic chemistry. I will describe current work in all three of these directions, along with work in the OpenCog Hyperon project aimed at synthesizing the three approaches with each other and with LLMs for even more rapid progress.
Bio:Ben Goertzel, CEO of SingularityNET, TrueAGI, and the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, is currently focused on the SingularityNET project (http://singularitynet.io), which combines AI and blockchain to create a decentralized open market for AIs. It's a platform for the creation and emergence of AGI, a means to roll out superior AI-as-a-service across all vertical markets, and a way to enable everyone in the world to contribute to and benefit from AI. His passions are numerous, including AGI, life extension biology, philosophy of mind, psi, consciousness, complex systems, improvisational music, experimental fiction, theoretical physics, and metaphysics.
