Abstract

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong (HKU

CS) is dedicated to excellence in teaching and research.   HKU CS

continued to position amongst world-class universities, as evidenced by her latest ranking being at the 14th in 2014 QS University Subject Rankings in Engineering & Technology, announced on February 26, 2014.

The faculty members of HKU CS include many internationally renowned scholars in diverse fields of Computer Science, such as Algorithms, Bioinformatics, Computer Forensic, Computer Vision and Graphics, Database and Data Mining, Network, Systems, and Software Engineering.

In this talk, we will give an overview of HKU CS, our research achievements, and the research postgraduate program. We will also explain the process and the schedule of recruiting graduate students.
