讲座题目：Molecular Networks and the Internet: Are They Similar? 分子网络与互联网：它们相似吗？

摘要：网络从互联网到生物界无处不在。在差别如此之大的研究领域中无数的网络之间存在着什么样的关系呢？那些在互联网、社交网络中使用的分析方法是否可以使用在生物网络中呢？ Fengzhu Sun教授将通过以下这些例子讲述互联网及生物网络之间的关系：1) 蛋白质网络预测与图像识别；2) 疾病预测与谷歌搜索；3) 疾病通路推断与网络中信息流。同时，还将讨论分子网络在理解复杂疾病、药物发现制备及基因组种群的问题上的应用。Fengzhu Sun教授将同时宣传美国南加州大学分子计算中心及复旦大学的系统生物中心的硕博招生情况，对象为目前大学三年级的数学、统计、生物、自动化及计算机等相关专业的本科生。

简历：Professor Fengzhu Sun is the Head of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Program at USC, USA. He is also a distinguished professor at the Center for Systems Biology, Fudan University. His Bachelors in Mathematics is from Shandong University, Masters in Probability and Statistics is from Peking University, and PhD in Applied Mathematics is from University of Southern California (USC). He was an elected fellow of the AAAS, elected member of ISI, Astor Visiting Lecturer of Oxford University in 2012. He has published over 130 papers in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics and has been cited over 5000 times according to Google Scholar.
