报告摘要:
In this talk, we will present our studies on how to enhance the privacy and security of outsourced storage with confidential computing, while achieving high storage efficiency. We first leverage Intel SGX enclaves to accelerate encrypted deduplication, enhancing performance and security in resource-constrained settings. We then propose a lightweight approach that performs deduplication prior to encryption, optimizing efficiency while ensuring robust data protection for sensitive information. Finally, we introduce an approach to detect learning-content attacks by analyzing data features and improving defenses in deduplicated systems against complex threats. Our work demonstrates how to balance the trade-off between storage savings and data security for outsourced storage.

报告人简介:
Patrick P. C. Lee is now a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests are in various applied/systems topics on improving the dependability of storage systems, distributed systems, and networks. He has been serving as an Associate Editor in IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking and ACM Transactions on Storage, as a TPC co-chair of APSys 2020, LANMAN 2022, and DSN 2025, and as a TPC member of several major systems and networking conferences.
